Transform your voice

Performing under pressure takes skill, stamina, and self-awareness. Just like an athlete, a singing actor needs reliable technique, a resilient mindset, and a consistent practice that holds up when the adrenaline hits. That’s what I help you build.

With over 15 years of experience working at the highest level - including as a musical director with the Royal Shakespeare Company and National Theatre - I work with actors to develop voices that are strong, expressive, and sustainable. Having started my theatre journey as a performer, I understand the unique demands of performing - the blend of voice, movement, and text. My sessions combine technique, body awareness and musicianship, giving you a complete, embodied approach to training.

My approach

Every voice is different and so is every person behind it. My approach is empathetic, adaptive, and grounded in care. I create a space where you can explore your voice without fear of judgment or pressure. You are held, seen, and supported throughout the process.

I’m not a strict or stern coach. I meet you exactly where you are, and we build from there. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or someone who’s always thought “I’m not really a singer,” I’ll help you find what works for your voice, your body, and your confidence.

Having worked on productions around the world in several different languages, I understand that communication takes many forms. My teaching adapts to each individual so you always feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow.

My goal is simple: to help you build a healthy, expressive, and reliable voice in an environment that’s compassionate, collaborative, and creatively inspiring.

How we work

  • Building Skills and Confidence

We focus on skills, structure, and self-sufficiency - developing the muscles of the voice, deepening your understanding of technique, and creating a practice that’s both effective and sustainable. You’ll learn to trust your voice, manage it through long runs, auditions or illness, and perform with consistency and ease.

As an Estill Level 1 & 2 certified coach and trained somatic practitioner, I bring mind–body awareness into every session, helping you understand not just how your voice works - but how to look after it within the wider context of your body.

  • Managing Nerves & Finding Freedom

Nerves are part of performing but they don’t have to control you. Many actors struggle with overthinking, tension, or the fear that their voice won’t show up when it matters. Through somatic and embodied voicework, I help you get out of your head and back into your body, releasing tension and reconnecting breath, sound, and presence.

When you feel grounded, the voice opens up and you discover sounds and colours you didn’t know you could make. This work isn’t just about singing the right notes; it’s about rediscovering your voice as a living, responsive part of your artistry.

  • Translating Text into Voice

Acting through song is more than just singing beautifully — it’s about communicating thought, intention, and emotion through sound. Together, we’ll explore how to translate the intricacies of text work into vocal expression, so every word carries clarity and meaning without compromising vocal health.
You’ll learn how to communicate exactly what you want to — safely, sustainably, and truthfully — whether you’re delivering Shakespeare, Sondheim, or a new piece of writing.
